Real-Time Translator respects your privacy. The app is designed to work primarily offline. It does not collect, sell, or share personal data for advertising, tracking, analytics, or profiling.
## Data Collection
Real-Time Translator does not collect personal information, analytics, advertising identifiers, contact lists, files, or usage profiles.
The app may store settings locally on your device, such as language choices, microphone sensitivity, dark mode, and optional remote-pairing information. These settings stay on your device unless you choose to use Remote PC mode.
## Microphone Usage
Real-Time Translator uses microphone access only to capture speech for translation and/or transcription features.
- Audio is captured only when the user actively starts translation or listening.
- In on-device mode, audio is processed on the phone.
- The app does not intentionally record or save audio.
- The microphone is not used for advertising, tracking, analytics, or profiling.
## Remote PC Mode And Relay
Real-Time Translator can optionally connect your phone to a paired PC running RTT Host. This lets the PC process speech recognition and translation.
When Remote PC mode is enabled:
- Microphone audio may be sent from the phone to the paired PC for transcription and translation.
- Transcribed and translated text may be sent between the phone and the paired PC so the app can display and speak the result.
- A relay/signaling service may be used to create the connection, exchange pairing data, and help the phone and PC connect over the internet.
- The relay may process connection metadata needed to operate the service, such as session identifiers, pairing tokens, IP addresses, timestamps, and operational logs.
- If a direct WebRTC connection cannot be established, relay infrastructure may help route encrypted WebRTC traffic between the phone and the paired PC.
The relay is not designed to record, store, or use microphone audio, transcripts, or translations. Remote PC mode is optional; if you do not enable it, the phone does not send microphone audio to a PC or relay for speech processing.
## Internet Usage
Real-Time Translator may use an internet connection to:
- Download language packs, voices, or app-related static files.
- Connect to a paired PC through the optional relay/signaling service.
- Exchange pairing and connection data needed for Remote PC mode.
The app does not use internet access for ads, analytics, background tracking, or profiling.
## Nearby Devices And Bluetooth Permissions
The app may request Bluetooth or nearby-device-related permissions so it can work with external audio devices such as earbuds, wired adapters, headsets, or speakers.
These permissions are used only for audio-device behavior. The app does not track, store, or profile nearby devices.
## Camera Permission
The app may request camera access to scan a pairing QR code for Remote PC mode.
Camera access is used only when you choose to scan a QR code. The app does not record, store, or upload camera images.
## Files And Permissions
The app does not access your files automatically. Any processing happens only as a direct result of user interaction. The app does not perform background access to personal content.
## Data Sharing
Real-Time Translator does not sell user data or share user data for advertising, analytics, tracking, or profiling.
When you choose Remote PC mode, audio, transcripts, translations, and connection data may be exchanged with your paired PC and may pass through relay/signaling infrastructure as needed to provide the feature.
## Children’s Privacy
Real-Time Translator does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
## Changes To This Policy
If the app’s functionality changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated accordingly.
